What you’d review

• A sample client file: an hledger journal, CSV exports and a sealed month you can verify yourself.
• Every entry linked to its payment: each posting carries the Stripe event it came from.
• Replay on your own machine: run the engine on the client’s events and get the same balances and journals.

You review and sign as you do today. Trifold doesn’t attest to anything, and nothing here is an audit.

Three things clients usually hand you

1. A year of payments with no trail

Trifold: every number traces to a Stripe event, and every month can be sealed. A seal is a signed fingerprint of the month’s events; if anything in a sealed month changes, it stops matching.

2. Books rebuilt from bank exports

Trifold: the books are built from the payment events themselves, append-only, and reconciled against Stripe’s records on request (paid invoices, refunds, disputes, payouts, fees).

3. Receipts nobody can check

Trifold: each payment has a receipt signed with the client’s key. You can verify any receipt or seal with the free command-line tool or on the verify page.
